Australia has negotiated a new Work and Holiday Visa Arrangement with Singapore.
Under a new scheme, a bilateral agreement between Australia and Singapore will now grant 500 Singaporeans a period of up to 12 months in Australia for work and study, and for Australians to spend the same amount of time in Singapore.
The new visa programs called ‘The Australian Work and Holiday Visa’ and ‘The Singaporean Work Holiday Passes’ aims to strengthen personal ties between Singaporeans and Australians.
To be successful for this program, Singaporeans aged between 18 to 30 and must have completed at least two years of tertiary education or the equivalent of.
Singapore and Australia have long been linked by trade, defense and investments, and this scheme will enable a cultural exchange between Singaporeans and Australians to experience each other’s cultures.
